In the early 1800's, Rubo Mantovani, an immigrant from Italy, decided to settle in what was then called Naco, Arizona. While other immigrants continued to California during the Gold Rush, Rubo worked hard saving up enough money to buy up 2,500 acres of land. Little did he know, while mining on his land, he would dig up a mother lode of wealth requiring complete secrecy. Decades later, a massive buildup of Mexican cartels along the border of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, caused bloody battles over shipments of guns, drugs, and money, spilling over and onto Rubo Mantovani property. Caught in the middle of these wars, are families of Day-Crossers, trying to seek refuge in the United States, subject to the Cartel's rules. Families are often subjected to beatings, torture, rape, and even death, should anyone refuse to do their bidding. But rumors began to spread by those who were captured by US Border Agents, who were lucky enough to be returned to Mexico, stating entire families are coming up missing the moment they crossed the border. There are those who say, men, women, and children, are mutilated by a giant desert animal and put on display as artwork, sparking one of the most bizarre, and unsolved missing people cases in history. There are also the stories of a treasure of gold coins made from the stolen body parts of the dead having more value than all the gold in Fort Knox.
