What a tragedy to live and also die on a pavement. This book presents a solution to pavement living. It addresses negative mindsets that keep people from all walks of life stuck on uncomfortable pavements of many kinds on which too many people die. Blind Bartimaeus was on such a pavement but refused to die there, so he used what he had to get off it (Mark 10:46 - 52). The book provides solutions to those who choose to overcome their negative mindsets and take the appropriate actions to get off their pavement. Pavement living is not limited to the poverty-stricken as is wrongly assumed. Many very wealthy people, even multi-millionaires live on pavements of depression, addiction etc. with too many checking out through suicide which is of grave concern. Among other things, this reality tells us that there is more to life than money. This fact also instructs us that pavement living is not a matter of not having money but quite often not having the things that money cannot buy. The thesis of this book is that God created each person with a purpose and consequently, He gives each of us the gifts and abilities we need to fulfill that purpose in cooperation with Him. In the words of the book, "God has created you to fulfil a specific purpose in your life and He has given to you exactly what you need to accomplish it." My encouragement to you is to use what you have to get off or stay off the pavements and live a God-pleasing and fulfilling life.
