US Army Major Matthaeus (Matt) Ramsey is serving in Iraq embedded with a Kurdish unit. Soon he is saving servicemen, having an affair with a beautiful woman who turns out to be a Russian, and finding himself in charge of a top secret testing program of a new type of American missile.
