Sheriff Jack Joseph Towns is struggling with the sudden death of his father when five local children mysteriously disappear. To worsen matters, a fracking company is setting up test drills in the area, risking the chance of finding them alive. It's not the first time children have gone missing from small-town Rayburn, Georgia. Decades before, the Truelove siblings vanished without a trace from Blood Mountain, which was cursed by the Cherokee when they were forced from it. But Jack will soon discover there are greater evils lurking in the shadow of the mountain. In his desperation to locate the children, he must dig deep into Rayburn's haunted past, but only through blood and fire will it be revealed.
