The Heart of Rescue is a memoir of sometimes entertaining and sometimes desperate times of living with bipolar disorder. As an ambulance EMT Chief/Paramedic, the author responded to a constant stream of chaotic, violent, inner-city calls which resulted in PTSD. Through a lifetime of over fifty years with bipolar disorder, multiple jobs, misadventures, and mistakes, he shares a wealth of strategies and tips to cope with severe mental health issues.
