The Remy family heritage in pottery design and manufacture dates back to the late 1500s. Johann Wilhelm (J. W.) Remy inherited the family pottery in 1860. By incorporating many unique concepts, designs, and decorations into an extensive line of beer steins, he proceeded to transform it into a world-renowned German stoneware manufacturing company.
