teenage melancholy examines the ups and downs of a young teenage heart and mind. from dealing with the struggles and pains of heartbreak, anxiety, and depression, francesca joanna dives into the journey of coming out of the dark and ultimately finding the light of hope, relief, and contentment in her first collection of poetry. through these poems and accompanying illustrations by her, which are divided into different sections of phases, francesca hopes that those who experience or have experienced similar hardships will find solidarity and comfort. she also wishes for those to know that the negative experiences one comes across teaches them lessons to overcome challenges and become mentally stronger.
