Danse is a four part, illustrated series by B. A. D., that depicts the wicked tale of its featured creature and the sinister journey of their life. Divided into the following - Rat, Crow, Spider, Toad - Danse takes the reader on a visual tour of darkness that has nestled itself into the heart of these despicable beings, whose stories have never been heard by human ears.







The Rat King is the first legend in the Danse, a Dark Tale of Macabre series.




Hated, loathed, and seen as lesser, rats have always been subjected to the condescending eye of the world as being inferior. However, much death and carnage shall come to follow the birth of one rat who repudiates such claims towards his existence. Under the self appointed title of "the Rat King", his infamy would come to singlehandedly fashion a new esteem for all his kin alike, and prove that not even the gods can snuff out a perilous soul.




Written and illustrated by B. A. D., a Gothic art/Hatching style beautifully presents the grim story, with elegant borders framing each page in a unique display that often reflects the current significance of the plot.
