Drs. John Worsham and Sam Quatro are summoned to an Amazon rainforest in Brazil to determine if a new, deadly infectious disease has killed all the workers at a site that is being cleared for construction. They find, instead, that the men are not dead, but are changed into shells of men without cognitive ability.
