This is an action 'chiller' in which Cyndi Rhodes and her two children, Josh and Jeremy, are separated from their husband/father, Brian Rhodes, while he is in Washington consulting with the Defense Department following chemical destruction of America's crops. The live in Arizona but have a farm in Iowa where Cyndi takes the children for vacation while Brian is in Washington. Brian is an expert in chemical/biological warfare. Iraqi terrorists are behind the crop destruction as well as subsequent Anthrax poisoning of 100,000+ Americans in 15 cities. The President is trigger happy to destroy Iraq and wants Brian killed as do the terrorists, before he lets the truth be known. Both the terrorists and thePresident want to see the Iraqi government overthrown. Cyndi has to deal with the food shortage as well as a psycho cop who falls in love with her and, mercenaries sent by the President to kill she and the children, presuming them to be hostile. Cyndi and Brian employ their wits, not only to survive, but to locate each other and ultimately let the truth be known. Continuous intrigue. Frightening to think that this scenario could occur in America.
