This political and historical novel documents how three young Nahabans in 1960's rose against their colonizers in order to gain independence. In their struggle, each young man, fought to achieve his goal independently of the others. In particular, Kiyelopokada, the king of Jopongol, believed that seceding would give his people more autonomy. When he implemented his plan, the others objected. Within days, the country fell into chaos and total anarchy. People were killed, women raped, crops destroyed and houses burned. Arara, the head of the Nahaban Army, had been waiting for just a chance. With the politicians causing civil chaos, and the citizens terrified for their lives, he siezed power. Then Arara ordered his soldiers to look for the three politicians for their arrest. The soldiers sought the three politicians, combing forests and checking houses. Soon the souldiers learned that Kiyelopokada was killed during the skirmishes. At the time the souldiers made their initial report to thie boss, nothing was known about the fate of Monipamalaga, another of the three politicians. But it was discovered that Landopakasan, the third politician, ran to a neighboring country to devise a plot which he hoped might topple Arara's government.
