An original family western: detailing the Trost family from the kidnapping of a young girl by Indians. As she is dying she asks her adopted Indian mother to take her two young sons to learn the white man's way. The old Indian and two small boys escape from Wind River Indian Reservation and meet Sam Trost, a wild horse hunter. Sam Trost meets, in Casper, Wyoming, Anne Lilbourne who is coming out to with her parents to ranch. When Sam returns with a herd of wild horses outlaws try to rob him. Sam and his friends rush out to stop the outlaws from robbing the Lilbourne family. Both he and the Lilbournes are ambushed.
