Feldman, captain of a star ship, is out to vindicate himself of a past failure by taking on an almost suicidal mission; that of eliminating a vortex. He finds unexpected romance and many misadventures, in his struggle against the ruthless opponent Tiras Welby, who will stop at nothing to protect his source of Biferox, and his growing empire.
