There is no better tonic to authenticate an author's work than to have a responsive reader. Here are just a few that have elevated my spirit. Your poem, "I Watched Them Go" was read at our Veterans Day celebration. You truly represent all of us; your words compel us to look at our flag. Your poem "Where Are all the Citizens?" says it all. I was so impressed with your work that I am giving your book as a Christmas present to all my friends and relatives. "Badges, Banners and Pins" should be required reading for all Scoutmasters. I am typing this with tears in my eyes for such wonderful poetry. You have such a gift. I heard your recitation of your poem; "I Held the Flag Today," on KDKA TV and it was very moving for me. Your poem "I Am" is such an inspiration for the handicapped. I am sending the book to my brother in Iraq. My husband received the book in Kandahar and is enjoying it. After you concluded your DAR speech, my husband was the first one standing and clapping. Your poems have made me proud that I am in America.
