Earth is Overpopulated Now
David Christensen
The population of the world was about 2 billion when I wasborn in 1921, and it is 6.5 billion this year (2006). With about120 million now being added each year, the population of theworld is expected to reach 7 billion by 2010. The Earth simply cannot provide adequately for such gains! We already are living beyond the Earth's ability to provideadequate food and other necessities for the presentpopulation. That is the basic message of this book and it willbe bad news, especially for our children and grandchildren, ifintelligent action is not begun now to face the ecological andother catastrophes that are on the way. If we do not face up tothese converging catastrophes a Dark Age will be upon us. This book's uniqueness is not so much in the information itpresents, because much of it is widely known and already ofconcern to many people. Its uniqueness is in presenting it as apackage, with a message of urgency, and with the strongsuggestion that a Limited World Government-with Educationand Religion as crucial aids-is an avenue of solution forthese global issues.
