In her memoir in poetry, Jan Henson Dow presents one woman's sensitive and passionate journey from a carefree youth growing up in the Kentucky Bluegrass region through marriage, family, divorce, loss, and the renewal of love. Searching for the perfect title, Ms. Dow remembered the story of the Chinese sage Lao Tzu. Arriving at the Han-ku Pass he was recognized by the gatekeeper who asked him to record the essence of his teaching. When the "Tao Te Ching" was completed, Lao Tzu walked through the gate and vanished into history.
