When Brad Smothers discovers his parents were murdered on their yacht while out on the Gulf, he wants answers. Brad can't fathom how his father, who was always a careful man, would let anyone on board without having a weapon within reach. Even with the Sheriff's blunt words---"You can think any way you want, but they are dead"---he still has trouble accepting that his parents were murdered and thrown overboard for the sharks.
