A Chance Happening
Edwin Holloway
Ten years after his last duty station in a remote area of Scotland, Ed Chance, a U. S. Navy veteran and writer struggles to come to terms with his past, the death of his fiancé, and his faith in God. One evening, in late 1992, just outside of Machrihanish, Scotland, Ed lost control of the car he was driving, resulting in the death of his wife to be. It is 2002 and after a more recent accident, Ed revisits the past and finds himself once again trying to find closure with an accident that he blamed on himself and changed the course of his life. Through recent years and success in his life, Ed is suddenly forced to put his busy life on hold, during which time he starts to realize his denial and that he never really found closure. After years wishing that he could go back and struggling to find reason, he finds himself face to face with that unbelievable second chance in life, or does he?
