Ellie lives with her mum and little brother Darcy, who challenges both of them with his behaviour. During a visit to a farm, Ellie and her family are introduced to two horses and their carer, and discover something that has the potential to change all of their lives.




A single-parent family escapes the stresses at home and everyday life during a visit to a farm where they discover a deeper peace than they had expected. Being truly present and mindful in nature assists mother and children in releasing anxiety and experiencing some moments of emotional regulation and inner peace. They develop a new appreciation for what is around them and of each other. On their return, they are able to apply those insights to old persistent issues at home and at school.
