In the 21st century, the extinct Thylacine, or Tasmanian Tiger, has been resurrected. Dedicated Senior Detective Tim Anderson attends a public presentation in his home city of Brisbane to protect the audience and presenters, including top scientist and CEO of GeneSci, Dr Dana Kovac, from infiltrating rebels who are opposed to the process of de-extinction.

Tim was stunned to discover his mother and father weren't his biological parents, and has a DNA test done by a company owned by GeneSci to find out his heritage. When he is contacted by Dana Kovac about his bizarre results, there is undeniable chemistry between them.

An explosion rips through GeneSci with tragic consequences, and Tim hurtles into a forbidden relationship. He must race against time to solve the crime masterminded by a devious and formidable enemy. A mammoth/elephant hybrid is born and prompts the De-extinction rebels into staging in a demonstration that spirals out of control. His life begins to fall apart. The CEO Dana Kovac disappears, sending Tim into a frantic search for her.

Tim's mysterious heritage is gradually unravelled and is sent on a collision course with the future. A future seemingly connected to an illegal experiment happening under the radar at GeneSci that eventually compels him to go to South Bohemia in the Czech Republic. There he discovers a shocking revelation that could change the world.

Fiona M Pribyl wrote this science fiction/Techno-thriller from her experiences when researching for a Master Degree in Molecular Biology at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience in Brisbane and her own DNA test.
