Every April, creative writers rejoice at the chance to celebrate International Poetry Month by writing one piece every day of the month. The rough, unedited works are collectively known as The Dirty Thirty.


Traditionally, creatives would complete these works on their own or in small writing groups. The Dirty Thirty Creative Writing Challenge was founded in 2013 to bridge the gaps of loneliness and give writers a sense of community.

The platform is a space where veterans, newcomers, professionals and dabblers alike can follow daily prompts at their own leisure while uplifting, encouraging and critiquing each other. As each day ends, one piece is picked from the hundreds of submissions as Pick of the Day.

This Anthology is a collection of those thirty, incredible pieces.
