King and his mother, Jasmine, moves to the worst housing project in the city of Richmond after his grandmother dies. He is forced into an environment where he has to learn fast to survive where life changes forever. His mother is attacked in her bedroom while he listens from the other side of the wall of his best friend's bedroom. He is tormented by the screams of his mother and the sight of her blood. Taken in by remaining family member, Aunt Pearl, he meets her foster kid, Starr. They bond as brother and sister and vows to be there for one another no matter what. He plan to avenge his mother's death. Starr being the only person that knows his plan plays the biggest role and she doesn't know it. When the past collides with the present, King must make a decision to kill or forgive.
