Following the concept of a mixtape, this book is broken into two sections, SIDE A and SIDE B. In SIDE A, she writes about being home in North Carolina facing her new reality as a mother while trying to hold on to her artistic nature. SIDE B is a collection of writings devoted to issues that are prominent to her as a lover of pop culture and blackness.
