It's three years later. Everyone has grown up now. Jeff has come from the war and is discharged from the Navy. Jasmine is in her last year of college and Bonita is working as a professional nurse at a local hospital. Her son Kareem is a toddler now. Larry is still away and no one has seen or heard from him since is left town. But life still goes on in North Philly where dreams still live. We are also introduced to a host of new characters like Brandy Grant, recording producer, Dr. David Bradley, a chief pediatric surgeon, and many of our old character return like Thomas Mason and his cousin Sheila who still thinks she can get what she wants.
