For a spy that started out at the innocent age of twelve, Julio Antonio del Mármol was a natural. Recruited by his spy uncle, he was given high level training from the international spy community, and his innate abilities enhanced his talent to escape several traps laid for him by experienced spies. He infiltrated the highest levels of the Cuban civilian and military regime, frustrating their plans and leaving a legend behind: a spy codenamed by Castro and others as "The Lightning." Each time he evaded their snares he made fools of the top echelon and even received apologies from Fidel for the tests of his loyalty. While he grew in their estimation, he continued his relentless charge against them. The Lightning became such a thorn in their sides that their top espionage expert, a master spy trained by the KGB, Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (known as Che), was eagerly pursuing him - but just before the natural spy deftly avoided being exposed while leaving no trace. He even saved the life of Guevara's life - but that did not stop Che from putting him through test after test. The Lightning was invisible, like a holy spirit fighting against the evil of the plans Castro had to expand his tyranny to the entire world. While Castro and Che writhed in anger and frustration, the people, in misery and starving, had hope that sprung from the stories of this young warrior fighting against oppression.
