The author carefully examines the variations of uniforms and equipment used by the Italian armed forces during the First World War using over 700 carefully chosen and captioned period photographs. Further enhancing this work, is an informative essay by internationally acclaimed author, historian and collector Professor Dr. Renato Zavattini.
