Brief Description: While visiting a Navaho Indian reservation in New Mexico, the Aldens try to save a forest under threat of development by proving it is the site of a lost, buried village, but someone is sabotaging their dig. Brief Description: While visitng a Navajo reservation, the Aldens stay with the Lightfeather family and investigate a legend of an ancient village said to be located nearby. Brief Description: The Boxcar Children are visiting a Navajo reservation. They learn about an ancient lost Native American village. Curious, the children begin digging and uncover some valuable artifacts. But someone wants the village to stay buried! The Boxcar Children are in danger. Contributor Bio:  Warner, Gertrude Chandler Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by its success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden Children.
