Dr. Borishade unapologetically asserts the viability of African traditional knowledge and African reality. She demonstrates the appropriateness of utilizing that knowledge as a wedge that cracks open and creates its own space within the colonial discourses on Africa and African people. Within these pages this scholar-activist presents a philosophical and historical discussion drawn from traditional African thought and belief.
