Albert was a normal boy from Earth who discovered on his tenth birthday that he had magical powers, not only to teleport himself, but also to transform himself into the King of Beasts. Transported to a far off realm, he and a newly discovered brother, Karter, found themselves having to escape the clutches of their evil father, King John, who wanted only to make his sons tyrants to succeed him. Instead, fortunately, the boys were welcomed into a new family who truly loves them.

In Book Two Albert learned both tolerance for those different, as well as something of his destiny - using his powers for good, he saves some abducted schoolmates whose essence of youth was literally being sucked out by a villain.

Prince Albert Book 3: The Realm Pirates picks up about two years after Prince Albert, Book Two: The Beast School. Albert is reluctantly convinced by his evil father, King John, to find and save his mother, who has been kidnapped by the mysteriously returned Realm Pirates. Albert puts his feelings for his father aside and tries to secure the safe return of his mother, but after a double cross from King John, Albert seeks the help of his old friend, the Beast Master, to help perform the rescue. The two set out to free Queen Nara and to unravel the mystery of the Realm Pirates.
