Kerry Palframan was unique since birth. From her first memories as a baby, she lived between two worlds: The material earth-bound plane, and the ineffable and limitless realm of spirit. Even as a small child, Palframan could intuit the emotional states of other people (and other spheres) as intimately and vividly as if they were her own. But when her father's illness and decade-long decline shatters her family, Palframan makes a spiritual promise that will change her life forever: She vows never to grow up. Already smarting from mysterious health limitations and other sensitivities, Palframan is diagnosed with a brain tumour before her nineteenth birthday.

In this journey about rage, survival, and alternative medicine, Palframan takes readers into the depths of her perceiving the universe at a molecular level, all while trying to function as a person with extraordinary physical challenges. The surgery to treat Palframan's brain tumour leaves her without a pituitary gland, leading to a life of precarious existence and eventually making her a refugee from the traditional medical model. Nevertheless, she pursues her dreams, enduring instability, rejection, and upheaval along the way. Eventually, with enormous determination and a little help from friends-seen and unseen-Palframan becomes the healer and visionary she was meant to be.
