The children who are living in the midst of the AIDS epidemic claim their own voices and tell their stories as they see it through their own words and pictures. Painting Our Lives places the paintings and testimony by these remarkable and inspiring young people into the historical record of AIDS in our times. Contributor Bio:  DuBasky, Valentina DuBasky has worked to bring understanding about the long-term effects of war on communities, and the process of recovery from violence, to audiences through her photographs. She is the recipient of grants from the Pollock Krasner, Ariana, and Gottlieb Foundations.
