This is the second book in a series that sets out to teach functional literacy in the written Chinese language. The first book, Hanzi and the Kangxi Radicals, (ISBN 978-0-9810576-0-6) introduces all the necessary skills to write characters. This book is an introduction to character writing using the most basic of writing strokes to make 425 characters. The balance and proportion of character writing is a skill unknown to Anglo writers. This book introduces opportunites to master these new skills. Included in this book are chapters on pronunciation, Hanyu Pinyin and Tones.
