This work explains and emphasizes the crucial qualification of ministry leadership in the man aspiring to eldership, and evidenced by his having been chosen by the Holy Spirit. Only then should he be appointed to the church's elder council. The author demonstrates ministry leadership's critical role in the overall (and much needed) volunteer, servant ministry of the evangelical church. It is primary in carrying out the Savior's Great Commission, within the church, neighborhood, and beyond. Starting with youth, the process of developing such men for effective, shared leadership on the church's elder council is traced.
