THE LAST ARK chronicles five years in the near future. It records the efforts made by a chosen remnant of humanity to prepare, survive and emerge into a world convulsed by both human-caused and natural catastrophes. From the onset of the preparations, a Formless Shadow, "B", directs who is initially chosen and how preparations are to begin. However, events spiral, uncontrollably, beyond all prophecy. Survival is not guaranteed for anyone on the planet. Even B's selection of the last ark offers none.
