After a bump on the head, Dave, a crusty two timed divorced, ex LA ad man turned maintenance man, starts seeing a ghostly image of an American Indian, reflected in windows and mirrors. When he is fired from one more menial job on his long road to wreck and ruin, he makes a choice, get out of town. So he loads all his worldly possessions into the back of his pickup truck and heads to Northern California, to a piece of land he has inherited. On the way he picks up a mysterious hitchhiker, who takes him on the journey of a lifetime where all his hidden secrets are unmasked, and he is confronted by his past, his weaknesses and his fears.
