Libra the Zebra Comes to Town is the first in a series of children's picture books starring the lovable animated character: Libra the Zebra. In this story, Libra appears to the children in town for the first time. She tells the children she is from the local zoo. The children tell Libra about their friend Matt (who loves zebras). Matt then shows up, and he is very excited to meet Libra. Matt tells Libra she can come and live on his family farm, and she can be friends with all of the farm animals there. However, the local Zookeeper shows up and wants to take Libra back to the zoo. Matt asks the Zookeeper if he can take Libra back to his family farm. The Zookeeper says OK, but he tells Matt that someday Libra will be going back to the zoo. The book ends with the children happily singing one verse of the Libra the Zebra theme song, and they all look forward to the next Libra the Zebra story.
