Lloyd Canard is a simple, below average man struggling through a life fraught with greater than average bad luck. In a mere week of this man's miserable life: Lloyd Canard suffers encounters with idiotic supervisors; moronic subordinates; a nagging wife; a bratty teen daughter; is attacked by a drunk cashier; is accused of killing an already dead cat; is forced to attend an animal lovers conference; has his lunch snatched by an aggressive, overweight vegetarian; is chased by a mob; berated by a mime; suspected of being a terrorist; accidentally caught up in a pedophile sting; is pursued by a dim-witted detective; is on a plane with mechanical problems; faces a near death out-of-body experience and still much more. In the end Lloyd escapes all of these trials without serious injury or prosecution.
