The Legend of Joey Trucks: the Accidental Mobster
Craig Daliessio
Joe Mezilli is a very good man. A wonderful son, a loving father, a terrific husband, a successful businessman and a trusted friend. But he is definitely not in the Mob! Who he IS, is the third generation owner of a trash hauling company. His grandfather, Giuseppe, was a hard working immigrant who started the business with one beat-up old truck he bought with his life savings. Joe's father worked hard with "Zippie" to make the business survive and provide the platform that Joe, lovingly known as "Joey Trucks", built into the biggest and most successful trash hauling company in the Philadelphia area. He did it right, treated his men like gold, and avoided those mob ties that are always a part of "Waste Management." One day Joe's life changes forever when a huge conglomerate offers him Millions to sell the company. Joe takes the offer and eventually moves his young family to the small town of Forest, Virginia. Life is good. Joe is worth 50 Million, he has a gorgeous wife and four wonderful kids. He also has a nosy neighbor who has an obsession with the Mob. The problem is...he is convinced Joe is a mobster. It's a hysterical case of mistaken identity, overactive imagination, and stereotypes run rampant. It's family, tradition, respect, loyalty...everything we love about "The Godfather" without the crime.
