My, mother, Cecelia encapsulated the role of teacher, mentor and cheerleader to instill life-long creative thinking in her children. "Cecelia's Garden" is a series of short stories, using her garden as the setting, to bring her creative leadership to life and help us apply creative thinking and problem solving to our day-to-day activities. Each story contains a 'creative lesson' that connects the reader to tools and techniques, like using research, mashing things up, digging deeper, and patience. Illustrated by the author, who was inspired by the unsuspecting and subtle role her mother played in developing creative thinking in oneself, and passing those lessons onto her children.
