Rarely a day goes by that Lewis and Lallie Tiggle and their Poodian friend, Milik, don't look to the sky for another funnel cloud to take them back to Pood, a mysterious land beneath the North Atlantic Ocean. As weeks turn into months, they give up hope, and thoughts of Poodian friends begin to fade. But events change when a fierce blizzard blankets their little village of Mousehole, England. While Lewis and the others make light of the storm, Mup-their precocious cat-notices a strange occurrence in the backyard: an icy funnel cloud tunneling a hole in the frozen ground. Could this be the portal to Pood? Mup believes it is and seizes the opportunity as a way to get rid of Mouse, his rival. But who sent the blizzard? By the time the real culprit is revealed, it's too late. From an icy room under the sea to a fiery volcano on an island, every step of the way leads to danger. Will Lewis and Lallie ever see home again, or are they destined to live forever in Pood?
