My new friend, the boy I'd just seen yesterday, had been killed by a speeding dump truck months ago. It wasn't possible. He was a ghost. I was nine when me moved. The house was big and new and in the middle of nowhere! So when a little boy appeared in my bac yard and asked me to be his friend, I jumped at the chance. But soon unexplainable things began to happen. Doors opened and closed on their own and an unknown entity haunted our dreams. It became obvious to all of us that we weren't alone. Curiously, my parents denied it all citing coincidence and even calling my new little friend imaginary! "Adults don't see me," he said, as though that explained everything. My confusion grew when an innocent photo discovered on the neighbor's wall revealed the awful truth: He was real ... or at least he used to be.
