These are bhakti devotional poems written over a 3 year period while living in a South Indian ashram and learning spirituality at the feet of a famous guru. The focus is on love, expansion of the heart to make room for God, even while acknowledging the many different forms of the Divine. The rocky road of renunciation and the silent surrender to the mysterious love of the Absolute and the guru make this book an embodiment of the blood, sweat and tears that many spiritual seekers experience on the path to knowledge and love. The topic of renunciation is strongly present and explored in depth particularly over the question of "who is seeking what?"
