Sienna sometimes felt like she was a cat born into a human body, her life divided into multiple lives. So far she had lived through two. Her first death had been metaphorical. It marked the end of her early childhood being raised by her aunt and uncle, and her return to the parents who had only ever just been around. The paths their parents had mapped out were so set, so solid, and so encompassing, all paths, rebellious or not, would lead them there. But in one night, one reckless moment, four young paths were destroyed. Only Sienna's remained somewhat intact, but it every way that mattered, she was dead. Only her body survived to carry her into her third life. Her heart and soul had died with Flynn. And so Sienna was exiled back to the uncle who had never forgiven her for leaving him and forced to exist in a purgatory of social and emotional isolation.
