The perfect camping weekend proves to have many pitfalls for the kids. Unknown to them a hermit lives near the spot they have chosen as a camp site. Encounters with the hermit are not friendly. Dan gets himself trapped on the side of a steep hill and must be rescued. Throughout the weekend, indications are that someone has been at the camp site when they are not there because their things have been disturbed. Someone is also moving around the camp site at night. They decide to cut the weekend short and report it to their parents only to find a big surprise.
