Sleepers, Awake contains twenty popular hymns carefully and creatively arranged in three versions for the classical guitarist. Each hymn is arranged at two technical levels and a third includes voice. These sixty arrangements serve as an excellent resource for both study and performance. Although the harmonic structure of the pieces respects the four-part vocal writing found in traditional hymnody, guitarists will enjoy some of the contemporary and innovative harmonic ideas used. Left hand fingering is provided in each arrangement.
