His eyes were as red as fire, and his teeth were as sharp as razors. His wings stretched wide and covered me, while his long black nails sank deeply into my flesh. He stared closely at me as his face turned into the form of a rushing lion. He leaned in closer and closer and whispered in a deep voice, "I am here to destroy you!" I kicked and squirmed from side to side, trying to get away, but I couldn't. His huge wings overtook me. I knew giving up was not an option, but I did not know how to continue fighting. It seemed as if he was stronger than I would ever be. As I laid there staring death in the eyes, thinking about how bad I wanted to be free, I began wanting to be free. I knew I had to think fast, so I thought about being free in my heart and in my mind. Then suddenly his wings released me. After he released me, he flew away as a panther would leave his prey. "What would I have done if the big black shadow had gotten me?"
