"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 God's word is mighty and powerful. It is able to address all situations and circumstances that believers may face. It is active, alive, and possesses the very nature and character of God. Therefore, it transcends our natural comprehension and ability. God sent his word in order to fulfill his purpose in the earth and in our lives. In order for it to complete its assignment in us, we must consent and agree to allow God's word to be all to, through, and for us. God's word is our defense, provision, nourishment, guide, lamp, judge, wisdom, strength, weapon, and more. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6 God desires for his people to prosper and in order to do so we need to increase in spiritual knowledge and possess divine understanding. Understanding the Power of God's Word reveals the complex, multifaceted nature of God's word. It exposes the power that believers have when they embrace the fullness of the word of God.
