A Structuralist Approach to Fundamental Writing is a writing textbook designed for both secondary and college level instructional classes. The emphasis is directed towards the multi-paragrpah essay formation with the development of a better understanding of grammar and sentence formation. The strucutralist approach dictates the 'blue print' for the entire writing process. Each area of the essay is fully explained with examples of what is needed to fulfill the required parts of the paragraph and the essay. Once the basic structure of the essay is completed, the writer's self expression can be utilized in the revision process.
