Dr. Clotile Lejeune, her soldier son J. E. and Monsignor Albert Roques are secretly commissioned by Pope Francis to embark on a mission with nothing less than the fate of Christianity at stake. They follow a bizarre trail of biblical clues from New Orleans, to the catacombs of France, from the holy Speratus Marabout of Tunisia to Masada in search of a cache of ancient oil jars, the contents of which could eclipse the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Hot on their heels is the criminal empire of the Kolektor, now seemingly risen from the dead. This evil force leaves a trail of bodies in its pursuit of the jars and has Cloe, J. E. and their helpers squarely in its crosshairs.
