Ten-year-old Timmy Barnes, his friend Anna, and Bear Company, five armored guardians disguised as stuffed bears, travel out of the city and into the countryside to rendezvous with Timmy's father, a famous scientist who opened a portal to another dimension. But things quickly get spooky when the bears find themselves lost in a cornfield and chased by the Dark, shadowy creatures from another world that are bent on capturing Timmy for their leader, Total Dark. With the help of the Homestead Defense Force, a group of rugged barnyard stuffed animals, they will have to spend the night defending a creepy barn against a swarm of the Dark, led by not one, but two powerful shadows that want to snatch Timmy away from the bears.
